UNIWAY OF ROCK HILL UNIWAY RIPOFF I FEEL REALLY SICK ABOUT THIS NOW! ROCK HILL South Carolina *Consumer Comment ..Uniway

Okay, I'm not blaming anyone, I made a very bad mistake and take full blame myself.

I signed a contract with UNIWAY when I knew I couldn't afford it, the salesman's pressure was too much, the now or never tactic is brillant and you would think as responsible adults we should know better, but anyway.....

My salesman was extremely fast talking, he claimed to be a Christian, which I wont speak against his faith here, if he has a relationship with God he will have to give an account for what he does for a living or at least how he does it.

After reading here I am realizing that even though a sent a letter to cancel the contract and my check was returned because I didn't have the money in the first place, as I told the salesman I CAN'T AFFORD IT!

I just bought a new house and do not want my credit ruined over this.

My thought is this, if this company is a honest company two things should be allowed:#1 time to think about the decision, they don't even leave you alone in a room long enough to think, he just kept talking and was handing me the contract & pen while he's still talking &

#2 If a person does not utilize the service and wants out of the contract within 30 days they should allow that. No merchandise was given. Is it really fair to hold someone hostage to this membership if they clearly realize that they have made a mistake while knowing that the person was not given proper time to make a clear decision. The 3 days given to cancel the contract is state law not UNIWAY's policy, why don't they give you time to cancel.

#3 I notice a lot of different prices to join and payment option, my cost was $2,499.00 which will be $2,950.44 after financing this membership. I guess that's where the ripoff is huh?

The good news is I know a lot of people and the salesman gave me a stack of referal cards, I will let my friends, family, church members & business associates know what this company is about and how it works and they will at least have the benefit of thinking about it first or better yet not accepting the tour, which is what I would advise, they might cave under the pressure.

Oh my goodness I just want to cry, WHAT WAS I THINKING?!

Uniway

I am a customer of Uniway and I have nothing but good things to say about them. Yes, their joining price is expensive but you know that going in. If you can't afford to join it, don't! I have already purchased several large, name brand items from Uniway and the discounts have paid for what I spent to join.

They may have "pressured" this lady to join, but they didn't MAKE her join. And once she signed the contract there is no legal ramification to break it.

When I joined I worried about the cost as well, but they work with you on the payments and you have the ability to take advantage of their discounts the next day! It's not for everyone, but I am one customer who has never been disappointed for doing so.
